About Us
The Friends of Guy's and St Thomas' is a volunteer-led charity dedicated to enhancing the experience of patients and staff across Guy's and St Thomas' hospitals and community sites. Since our inception, we've been committed to raising funds to provide amenities, equipment, and comforts not supplied or funded by the NHS, ensuring that every patient's time in our care is as comfortable as possible.
Our Mission
Our primary goal is to support patients and staff by funding:
- Amenities and equipment beyond NHS provisions
- Small-scale research projects
- Comfort-enhancing initiatives across our hospitals and community sites
How We Raise Funds
We generate funds through various channels, including:
- The Friends shop at St Thomas' Hospital
- Our online shop
- Book sales
- Cash collection machines
- Christmas and mini markets
- Annual raffles and auctions
Every purchase and donation contributes directly to our mission of supporting patients and staff.
Join Us
Membership is open to everyone. A regular annual donation of £10 is all it takes to become a Friend. Additional donations are always appreciated and go a long way in supporting our initiatives.
